COCHRAN, Ga. — The Cochran City Council will hold a special called meeting Tuesday, Sept. 16, at 5:30 p.m. in the Municipal Building Conference Room.

The meeting is open to the public.

According to the agenda released by the city, the council’s only substantive agenda item is an executive session. The agenda lists “Personnel, Litigation, Real Estate” in parentheses but does not specify the particular matter council intends to discuss.

The council is scheduled to call the meeting to order, have an invocation and roll call, and approve the Sept. 16 agenda before considering the executive session.

The public may attend the open portion of the meeting. If council votes to enter executive session, the closed portion would not be open to the public. When council returns to open session, the meeting is again open to the public until adjournment.

No other business is listed on the agenda.

Mayor Carla Coley and council members Shane Savant, Trecia Gardner, Gary Ates, Rufus Veal, Lonnie Tedders and Dianne Lester are listed on the meeting agenda.

The Ledger plans to attend Tuesday’s special called meeting and will report on developments from the public portions of the meeting.

The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, in the Municipal Building Conference Room.
