COCHRAN — The Citizens Bank of Cochran has donated a total of $40,000 to local public safety agencies, presenting $10,000 to each department in recognition of the vital role first responders play in protecting the community.
The donations were presented to representatives of the Bleckley County Sheriff’s Office, Cochran Police Department, Cochran Fire Department and Bleckley County Fire Department.
Bank officials said the contributions are part of the institution’s ongoing commitment to giving back to the communities it serves.
“Every day, our local Police Department, City and County Fire Departments, and Sheriff’s Department work tirelessly to protect our families, businesses, and neighborhoods,” the bank said in a statement. “Their dedication, courage, and commitment to keeping our communities safe do not go unnoticed.”
The Citizens Bank of Cochran said it hopes the donations will help provide resources the departments need to continue serving residents.
“As a token of our appreciation, The Citizens Bank of Cochran is pleased to present a donation of $10,000 to each department,” the statement continued. “We hope these contributions will help provide the resources they need to continue serving our community with excellence.”
The bank also expressed its gratitude to the men and women who serve in public safety.
“Thank you to the men and women who serve and protect us each day. We are grateful for your sacrifice and commitment, and we are proud to support the important work you do.”
Representatives from each department accepted the donations during presentations held outside The Citizens Bank of Cochran.
The Citizens Bank of Cochran has a long history of supporting community organizations and local initiatives throughout Bleckley County, and bank officials said they are honored to invest in the first responders who help keep the community safe every day.
