Children visiting the Tessie W.Norris/ Cochran-Bleckley County Library recently enjoyed a special story time as Cochran Mayor Carla Coley read a book about local heroes.
The mayor shared the story with the young audience, encouraging a love of reading while highlighting the importance of everyday people who make a difference in their communities. The children listened attentively and enthusiastically participated throughout the reading.
The visit was part of the library’s ongoing efforts to provide engaging educational programs for local families and to connect children with community leaders.
Story time events like this help foster literacy, strengthen community connections and remind young readers that heroes can often be found right in their own hometown.
