Sometimes a book doesn’t have to completely knock you off your feet to still be a really solid read — and This Story Might Save Your Life by Tiffany Crum falls into that category for me.

The novel centers around Benny and Joy, hosts of a wildly popular podcast built around survival stories and overcoming impossible odds.

But when Joy suddenly disappears and Benny becomes the prime suspect, the story shifts into a tense mystery layered with friendship, secrets, emotional baggage and questions about what people really know about the ones they love most.

What kept me turning the pages was the atmosphere and pacing. The podcast angle gave the story a modern feel, and the mystery itself slowly pulled me in more and more as the chapters unfolded.

While I guessed a few things along the way, I still wanted to know how everything would come together. The emotional undercurrents between the characters added depth beyond the suspense.

Did it completely blow my socks off? No. But it absolutely held my attention — and honestly, that says a lot these days. I finished it in one Sunday afternoon and evening because I genuinely wanted to keep reading.

If you enjoy mysteries with friendship drama, emotional twists, and podcast culture woven into the storyline, this one is worth picking up.
