The Bleckley County Varsity Royals delivered a strong performance at home Thursday night, shutting out Academy for Classical Education 4-0.
After five scoreless innings on both sides, the Royals broke through in the bottom of the sixth, plating all four runs of the game to secure the win.
Bleckley County finished with 10 hits on the night, led by W. Boatright and B. Fleming with two hits each. Fleming also drove in a run, while J. Johnson, N. Woodard, and L. Sapp each added an RBI to fuel the late-game surge.
On the mound, J. Holloway was dominant, tossing a complete game and allowing just two hits while striking out eight to keep Academy scoreless.
Academy for Classical Education managed only two hits and struggled to generate offense throughout the game.
With the win, the Royals showcased both patience at the plate and strength on the mound in a well-rounded team effort.
