Sometimes God gets your attention in the most unexpected ways.

I was told recently I needed to drink a lower-sugar electrolyte drink. I remember thinking, “Okay… sure.” Then I walked into Walmart, and right there on the front shelf—where you couldn’t miss it—was a brand-new six-pack of Gatorade with less sugar.

I just laughed.

Because sometimes it feels like Someone upstairs has a sense of humor.

I grabbed a couple, tried them, and sure enough—I started feeling better.

And it got me thinking…

We do that with our bodies.

We look for what replenishes us, what helps us feel better, what keeps us going.

But what about our souls?

God’s Word is like that—only better.

“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.” — Matthew 4:4

His Word isn’t just something that makes you feel something for a moment.

It sustains you. Strengthens you. Builds you.

It’s consistent.

It’s lasting.

And it gives you exactly what you need—right when you need it.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” — Psalm 119:105

The world can be heavy. People can disappoint. Life can feel draining.

But God’s Word?

It never runs out. It never changes. And it never fails to do its work in you.

And here’s the best part:

“In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” — Romans 8:37

In the end… we win.

So today, just like you’d reach for something to refresh your body, reach for His Word.

It’s the real source of strength—the kind that lasts.
