From Staff Reports

The City of Cochran is inviting young artists to take part in a community-wide coloring contest as part of Georgia Cities Week, set for April 20–25, 2026.

The contest, themed “Love Your City,” encourages elementary students to showcase their creativity while celebrating what makes Cochran special.

The competition is open to students in two age groups: first and second grades, and third and fourth grades. Winners will be selected from each group, with first- and second-place honors awarded.

Each entry form includes space for the student’s name, age, grade, school, parent or guardian name, and phone number.

Completed entries must be returned to Cochran City Hall, located at 112 West Dykes Street, by 4 p.m. on Friday, April 24. Entries should be submitted to Tiffany Fowler.

City officials say the contest is a fun way to engage local students during Georgia Cities Week, which highlights the importance of cities and the role they play in residents’ daily lives.
