COCHRAN, Ga. — Cochran’s new city clerk, Hannah Kennedy, brings more than five years of local government experience to her position and says she is committed to providing professional, timely and transparent service to the citizens of Cochran.

Kennedy, who recently joined the city’s administrative staff, shared information about her professional background and her enthusiasm for serving the community with The Ledger.

In addition to her experience in local government, Kennedy has a background in practice management and is currently working toward her bachelor’s degree in business management.

“My family and I enjoy Cochran for dining, shopping, and all the community has to offer,” Kennedy said.

As she settles into her new role, Kennedy said she is eager to work with city leadership while keeping the needs of residents at the forefront.

“I am excited to serve the City of Cochran and look forward to working alongside the City Manager, Mayor, City Council, and, most importantly, the citizens of Cochran,” she said.

Kennedy also emphasized the importance of accessibility, accountability and communication in her new position.

“I am committed to providing professional, timely, and transparent service to the citizens of Cochran,” she said.

She encouraged residents to reach out whenever they have questions, concerns or need assistance with city matters.

“I welcome citizens to reach out with any questions, concerns, or assistance they may need. I look forward to being a dependable resource for our community,” Kennedy said.

The city clerk plays an important role in municipal government, helping maintain official records, supporting council operations and serving as a point of contact for citizens seeking information.

Kennedy’s appointment brings an experienced local government professional into the position as Cochran continues to navigate important decisions and community discussions.

For Kennedy, the focus is on serving the people of Cochran and becoming a reliable resource for the community.
