From Staff Reports
COCHRAN, Ga. — As The Ledger celebrates more than 100,000 total website views during its first six months, the online newspaper is welcoming additional businesses and organizations interested in reaching local readers through affordable advertising.
The Ledger offers standard advertisements for $25 per month, with larger advertisements available for $30 per month.
Advertising revenue does more than promote a business. It helps support The Ledger’s coverage of Cochran and Bleckley County, including local government, schools, sports, churches, businesses, organizations, community events and the people whose stories make the community unique.
“When a local business advertises with The Ledger, they’re not only putting their name in front of local readers — they’re helping us continue telling local stories,” Publisher and Editor Becky Holland said. “We want to keep advertising affordable while continuing to grow the news coverage we can provide our community.”
The Ledger launched March 18 with a commitment to providing local news online and making community information accessible to readers. Six months later, there are still more stories to tell — and more opportunities for local businesses to grow alongside the publication.
Businesses and organizations interested in advertising with The Ledger may email editor@thecbledger.com for more information.
