COCHRAN-The Mule Barn Showdown is coming down to one final night.
The Showdown Finale will be held Sept. 16 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Mule Barn, with Sheriff Daniel Cape and Matt Fordham stepping behind the bar as guest baristas while the final votes are cast.
The friendly competition began with two featured drinks and quickly turned into a community showdown benefiting two charitable causes.
“The Daniel” counts as one vote for Cape and supports Georgia Canine Rescue & Rehabilitation, while “The Matt” counts as one vote for Fordham and supports Hunting for the Cure.
Organizers say the finale will include plenty of friendly trash talk, a chance for supporters to cast their final votes and, perhaps most importantly, an opportunity to see how Cape and Fordham handle their guest barista duties.
Their barista skills will be judged.
Throughout the competition, the Mule Barn Showdown has combined friendly rivalry with fundraising and community involvement.
Residents are invited to stop by Sept. 16, order a drink, choose a side and help make the final night of the competition a memorable one.
