COCHRAN- Bleckley Elementary School has a busy September planned, with activities ranging from a school dance and book fair to grandparents’ breakfasts and Beta Club induction.

The month begins with a BCES dance on Friday, Sept. 4, with admission set at $5.

Students will be out of school for the Labor Day holiday on Monday, Sept. 7. The school’s fall fundraiser will conclude on Friday, Sept. 11.

Several special activities are planned during the week of Sept. 14. Third-grade students will welcome grandparents for a Grandparents’ Day Breakfast on Tuesday, Sept. 15, followed by fourth grade on Wednesday, Sept. 16 and fifth grade on Thursday, Sept. 17.

The school book fair will also be open Sept. 15-17. On Thursday, Sept. 17, the book fair will remain open until 5:30 p.m.

Students can take part in Hat Day on Friday, Sept. 18 for $1.

A new activity rotation begins Monday, Sept. 21. On Tuesday, Sept. 22, BCES will hold a Title I meeting at 5:30 p.m., followed by Math/Science Night at 6 p.m.

Another special event is planned for Friday, Sept. 25, with Sunset Slush available for $4 from 9 to 2:50 p.m. Students are also encouraged to wear their favorite Dolly shirt that day.

The month concludes with Beta Club induction at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 29.

Looking ahead, fall picture retakes are scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 1.

Parents and families are encouraged to keep the calendar handy as September gets underway at Bleckley Elementary School.
