From Staff Reports

COCHRAN — Bleckley County Elementary School is reminding parents of returning students to complete all required online forms by Thursday, July 31, to ensure students receive their class schedules during Meet the Teacher.

According to the school, students will not receive a class schedule at Meet the Teacher if all required forms have not been completed and approved.

Meet the Teacher and school visitation for returning BCES students will be held Wednesday, Aug. 5, from 3:30 to 6 p.m.

School officials said all required online forms and supporting documentation must be submitted by the July 31 deadline for schedules to be available during the event.

Parents whose students have incomplete online forms will be directed to the school’s computer lab to complete the necessary paperwork before class schedules can be issued.

The school also noted that residency information will be rejected if proper documentation is not submitted. Parents are encouraged to review the list of acceptable documents and ensure all required items have been uploaded.

Before Aug. 5, parents should also check their Parent PowerSchool account to verify that all forms have been approved and that no additional information is needed.

To complete the required forms, parents should:

  • Log into their Parent PowerSchool account online or through the mobile app.
  • Select the “Forms” tab.
  • Complete all required forms for each enrolled child.

Parents may also opt in to receive important school updates by texting “Y” or “YES” to 67587.

For additional information or assistance, contact BCES at 478-934-3600.

School officials encourage families to complete the online process before Meet the Teacher to help make the start of the new school year as smooth as possible.
