Despite blazing hot temperatures, citizens from across Cochran and Bleckley County gathered around the courthouse square and throughout downtown Cochran on Friday for the community’s annual Fourth of July celebration.
The festivities featured food vendors, children’s games, a bike parade, a golf cart parade, the Liberty Run 1-Mile and 5K races, and live music on the courthouse square.
The celebration continued through the evening, culminating with a fireworks display at dark presented by Chief Brock Wilcher and Cochran Fire & Emergency Services.
Photos & Videos in this gallery were contributed by community members and The Ledger staff. More photos will be added as they become available.
The event was hosted by the Cochran Downtown Development Authority and the Cochran-Bleckley County Chamber of Commerce.
