Under an updated Bleckley County High School attendance policy, parent or guardian notes will be accepted for up to five illness-related absence days per semester. After that limit is reached, medical documentation will be required for additional illness-related absences to be considered excused.

The policy also addresses absences of three or more consecutive school days and clarifies that family trips, vacations and other non-school travel will be counted as unexcused absences.
