Most photographers at weddings will take a picture similar to this one. Wedding rings are a visible symbol of the love and commitment shared between a husband and wife.
The ring is an unending circle that represents a love that is meant to endure forever, reminding the couple of the vows they made to one another before God and their witnesses.
While in college, I worked in a warehouse that would not allow me to wear any ring.
Sadly, I once lost my wedding ring, and Cheryl wasn’t happy. Now, I never take my wedding ring off. Through the years I have made two lifelong commitments: to Cheryl and also to the Lord.
I show my commitment to Cheryl by wearing my ring, and I show my commitment to the Lord by the way I live my life.
A wedding ring is visible, but our commitment to Christ should also be visible.
Paul described his commitment to the Lord, saying, “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me” (Galatians 2:20). What does your life tell others about your commitment to Christ?
