Deputies with the Bleckley County Sheriff’s Office arrested an Alabama fugitive during the course of a routine call for service.
According to information released by the sheriff’s office, deputies responding to the call conducted an investigation that led to the identification of 18-year-old Brian Lucious Jr., who was found to have an active kidnapping warrant from Baldwin County, Alabama.
Lucious was taken into custody without incident and is currently being held pending extradition to Alabama authorities.
The arrest resulted from deputies conducting a thorough investigation beyond the initial reason for the call, leading them to discover the outstanding warrant.
The Bleckley County Sheriff’s Office noted that the case serves as a reminder that routine calls for service can often uncover additional criminal activity or lead to the apprehension of wanted individuals.
