From Staff Reports
Pumpkins, family fun, and friendly competition will return to downtown Cochran this fall as organizers prepare for the Return of the Pumpkin Festival on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026.
One of the featured attractions this year will be a Pumpkin Growing Contest, open to all ages. Community members are encouraged to begin growing their pumpkins now in hopes of taking home prizes during the festival.
According to promotional materials, pumpkins will be judged in several categories including Largest Size, Heaviest Weight, Most Interesting Pumpkin, and Most Beautiful Pumpkin.
Festival organizers say the event will offer a full day of activities for the entire family, including live entertainment, food trucks, vendors, a kids zone, car show, fireworks, and more.
The event will take place in downtown Cochran and is being promoted as part of the return of the Pumpkin Festival tradition in the community.
