The City of Cochran is warning residents to be cautious after becoming aware of an individual reportedly going door-to-door claiming to test water.
According to a notice released by the city, the individual is not a representative of the City of Cochran.
City officials said Cochran is not currently conducting any door-to-door water testing and encouraged residents not to allow unknown individuals into their homes without verification.
Residents with questions or concerns are encouraged to contact City Hall directly.
The city also reminded the public to use caution when speaking with unknown individuals at their residence and to remain alert.
The notice was shared on the City of Cochran’s Facebook page.
