According to unofficial results posted on the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office website, Bleckley County voters approved the distilled spirits referendum Tuesday night.
The referendum asked voters whether distilled spirits could be sold by the drink for consumption on the premises of restaurants and similar establishments in the county.
Unofficial totals showed:
- Yes: 1,926 votes
- No: 984 votes
The vote totals included Election Day, advance voting and absentee by mail ballots.
A total of 2,910 votes were cast on the referendum.
Results remain unofficial pending certification.
