COCHRAN — Portions of Cochran experienced a power outage Sunday evening, Nov. 1, as Georgia Power crews worked to make repairs.
According to notifications sent to affected customers, Georgia Power initially estimated that electricity would be restored by 1:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2.
However, at approximately 12:28 a.m., the utility company sent an updated notification stating that the known outage associated with the repair work had been resolved.
The restoration came approximately one hour ahead of the original estimated time.
Georgia Power advised customers that some outages could remain and instructed those still without electricity to report their outage by replying “OUT” to the company’s text notification.
