The Bleckley County Fire Department recently hosted a Firefighter II certification class, bringing together firefighters from several surrounding departments for advanced training and instruction.
Firefighter II certification is an advanced credential based on NFPA 1001 standards and equips firefighters with leadership skills, tactical decision-making abilities and specialized rescue training.
Participants included firefighters from the Bleckley County Fire Department, Cochran Fire Department, Dodge County Fire Department, Laurens County Fire Department and Twiggs County Fire Department.
Officials said the firefighters dedicated their time to improving themselves, strengthening their departments and better serving their communities.
“Thank you all for your service and dedication,” organizers shared following the completion of the class.
