Residents are being encouraged to mark their calendars and prepare for the 2026 election cycle, which includes four major elections and several important deadlines throughout the year.
Advance voting for the primary begins April 27, with Election Day set for May 19. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Voters planning to cast absentee ballots should note that applications are due by May 8, unless they are enrolled in a full-year absentee program.
If a runoff is required following the primary, it is scheduled for June 16, with advance voting beginning June 8.
Looking ahead to the fall, the General Election (Midterms) will take place on November 3. The voter registration deadline for that election is October 5, with advance voting beginning October 13. Absentee ballot applications will be due by October 23.
A runoff election, if needed, is scheduled for December 1, with advance voting beginning November 23.
Officials are urging voters to review deadlines carefully, confirm their registration status, and make a plan to vote. QR codes included on the official calendar provide direct access to voter registration, ballot information, and absentee voting resources.
