From Staff Reports
Residents are invited to roll up their sleeves and help beautify the community during Cochran Clean-Up Day on Saturday, April 25, beginning at 9 a.m.
Hosted by the City of Cochran and the Cochran-Bleckley County Chamber of Commerce, volunteers will meet in the parking lot behind the Chamber of Commerce at 102 North Second Street. Supplies including bags, gloves, and masks will be provided for those helping pick up litter along designated areas.
In addition to the clean-up effort, a scrap tire amnesty event will be held for Cochran residents. Tires (rimless) can be disposed of free of charge, and bulk waste dumpsters will also be available at multiple locations across the city for household items and old furniture.
