The Bleckley County Lady Royals picked up an important region win Thursday night, defeating Jefferson County 2-1 to close out region play.

McKenzie Perkins and Kylie Reid each found the back of the net for Bleckley, with both goals assisted by Anniston Howell.

Defensively, goalkeeper Jana Tomlin had a strong performance with eight saves to help secure the victory.

With the win, the Lady Royals finish region play with a 6-1 record, earning second place behind ACE. The second-place finish guarantees Bleckley will host a first-round state playoff game.
