The Bleckley County Royals returned to the win column Thursday night with an 8-4 victory over Dublin at home. It was a fitting night as it was Veterans’ Night.

Bleckley broke things open early, plating six runs in the second inning to take control of the game. The Royals added single runs in the fourth and sixth innings to seal the win.

At the plate, Bleckley County collected 11 hits, led by W. Boatright and B. Fleming with two hits each. G. Cole drove in two runs, while C. Foskey also added a pair of RBIs.

On the mound, J. Holloway delivered a strong performance, going six innings and allowing just one earned run while striking out six. J. Johnson closed things out in relief.

Dublin finished with nine hits but was unable to overcome Bleckley’s big second inning.

The win comes one day after the Royals dropped a contest to Jeff Davis, showing a quick turnaround for Bleckley County.
