From Staff Reports

COCHRAN — The Bleckley County Health Department is reminding residents that a drive-thru flu vaccination clinic will be held Thursday, Oct. 8, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Heartland EMS.

The clinic will offer regular-dose flu vaccines for individuals ages 19–65 and high-dose vaccines for adults ages 65 and older.

Most major insurance plans will be accepted. For residents paying out of pocket, the costs are $50 for the regular-dose vaccine and $155 for the high-dose vaccine.

Residents are encouraged to complete the required influenza vaccination consent form before arriving and bring a copy of their insurance card, if applicable. Completing the paperwork in advance may help reduce wait times.

Following vaccination, individuals are advised to remain in a designated observation area for at least 15 minutes to monitor for possible reactions.
