COCHRAN — Bleckley County Elementary School has been named a 2026 Georgia Title I Distinguished School, placing the school among the top 5% of Georgia’s Title I schools for overall performance.
School officials announced the recognition praising the work of students, faculty, staff, families and the community.
“To our faculty and staff: thank you for consistently investing in our students,” the school shared in its announcement. “The care you show, the relationships you build, and the instruction you provide each day make a lasting difference.”
The Distinguished School designation recognizes strong academic performance among Title I schools across Georgia.
Bleckley County Elementary officials also credited students for their hard work and families and community members for their continued support.
“We are proud of our students and grateful to the families and community who support them,” the school stated.
The recognition adds another achievement for Bleckley County Schools and highlights the work taking place in classrooms at BCES.
As the school’s message put it: “Where Purple Meets Gold, Greatness Unfolds!”
