The Bleckley County Health Department will host a drive-thru flu clinic Thursday, Oct. 8, giving residents a convenient opportunity to receive their seasonal influenza vaccine.
The clinic will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Heartland EMS.
Both regular-dose and high-dose flu vaccines will be available. The regular vaccine is available for individuals ages 19 to 64, while the high-dose vaccine is offered for adults ages 65 and older.
Most major insurance plans will be accepted. For those paying out of pocket, the cost is $50 for the regular flu vaccine and $155 for the high-dose vaccine.
The drive-thru format is designed to make receiving a flu shot quick and convenient, allowing participants to remain in their vehicles during the clinic.
Residents planning to attend should bring their insurance information if they intend to use insurance coverage.
The clinic is sponsored by the Bleckley County Health Department, part of the Georgia Department of Public Health’s South Central Health District.
The event will take place Thursday, Oct. 8, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Heartland EMS.
