EMANUEL COUNTY — Bleckley County continued to build on its halftime advantage Friday night, adding two more touchdowns in the third quarter to take a 42-7 lead over Emanuel County Institute into the fourth.

The Royals struck midway through the quarter when Zyion Love scored on an 18-yard rushing touchdown. Dylan Lamb added the extra point, pushing Bleckley County’s lead to 35-7.

Bleckley’s defense also kept ECI from gaining momentum. Jamir Thompson recorded a tackle for loss, and the Royals forced a turnover on downs earlier in the quarter.

Late in the period, Brody Fleming scored on a 14-yard rushing touchdown with about 30 seconds remaining. Lamb’s PAT made it 42-7.

Bleckley County entered the fourth quarter firmly in control after outscoring ECI 14-0 in the third.
