EMANUEL COUNTY— Bleckley County closed out a dominant Friday night performance with a scoreless fourth quarter, preserving a 42-7 victory over Emanuel County Institute.

The Royals carried a 42-7 lead into the final period and leaned on defense and field position to finish the game. ECI mounted a late drive and reached the Bleckley County 10-yard line, then moved inside the 5.

Bleckley’s defense held firm, stopping ECI on fourth down near the goal line with about 30 seconds remaining.

The stop sealed the 42-7 win for the Royals, capping a game in which Bleckley County controlled the action after pulling away in the second and third quarters.
