COCHRAN — The Cochran City Council will hold a special called meeting Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 5:30 p.m. in the Municipal Building conference room.
According to the agenda, council will call the meeting to order, conduct roll call and approve the agenda before entering into an executive session. The listed reasons for the executive session are personnel, litigation and real estate.
The meeting itself is open to the public. Under Georgia law, governing bodies may enter executive session for certain limited purposes, but the open portions of the meeting remain public.
The agenda lists executive session followed by adjournment. Residents interested in observing local government are encouraged to attend the public portion of the meeting.
The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, in the Municipal Building conference room.
