Three Bleckley County High School football players earned Player of the Week honors following the Royals’ jamboree action Friday night at Taylor County.
Brody Fleming was named the Royals’ Offensive Player of the Week, while Cody Register earned Defensive Player of the Week honors. JJ Stephens was selected as the Special Teams Player of the Week.
Bleckley County’s varsity squad played four quarters during the Aug. 14 jamboree, facing Southwest in two quarters and Taylor County in two. The Royals defeated Southwest 30-0 and Taylor County 17-7.
The jamboree gave the Royals their final game-action preparation before the start of the 2026 regular season.
Bleckley County will open the season on the road Friday, Aug. 21, against West Laurens. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
