Bleckley Memorial Hospital has completed two major facility upgrades designed to expand access to rehabilitation services for residents throughout the community.
Funded through the Georgia HEART Hospital Program, the hospital has renovated its Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy (PT/OT) rehabilitation suite and opened a new outpatient Pulmonary Rehabilitation space.
Hospital officials said the improvements will allow patients to receive specialized rehabilitation services closer to home, reducing the need to travel outside the area for care.
“These upgrades reflect our absolute commitment to delivering high-quality care, close to home,” said CEO John Roland. “We continue to strive and improve our small, rural hospital. Thank you to those who continue to support the Georgia HEART Program and invest in the health of our community. Your generosity is making a lasting difference.”
According to the hospital, the new and renovated spaces are intended to enhance recovery services for patients while strengthening healthcare options available in rural Middle Georgia.
The projects were funded through the Georgia HEART Hospital Program, which provides financial support to participating rural hospitals across the state.
