Bleckley County High School announced Monday on its official social media page that it has been awarded an Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) program.

According to the announcement, the program is scheduled to begin in the fall of 2027.

The post describes the program as focusing on leadership, discipline, service and excellence while helping build student leaders and strengthening the community.

Additional details, including enrollment information, instructor assignments and program requirements, have not yet been released.

The Ledger will provide additional information as it becomes available.
