Bleckley Elementary School is encouraging families to make attendance a priority while planning vacations during the 2026–2027 school year.
The school recently released a School Vacation Planner highlighting holidays and extended break opportunities to help parents schedule trips and appointments with minimal disruption to classroom learning.
“Every day in the classroom provides meaningful learning experiences, builds relationships, and helps students stay connected with their teachers and classmates,” the school shared in a social media post.
School officials encourage families to plan non-essential appointments and vacations during scheduled school breaks whenever possible to reduce student absences.
The planner includes several opportunities for extended weekends and breaks throughout the school year, including:
- Labor Day Break: Sept. 5–7
- Fall Break: Oct. 10–18
- Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 21–29
- Christmas Break: Dec. 19–Jan. 4
- Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend: Jan. 16–18
- Presidents Day Weekend: Feb. 12–15
- Teacher Workday/March Break: March 12–14
- Spring Break: April 3–11
Bleckley Elementary officials said regular attendance plays a vital role in student achievement and thanked families for partnering with the school to help children succeed.
“Together, we can ensure every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive,” the post concluded.
The school’s theme for the upcoming year is: “Where Purple Meets Gold, Greatness Unfolds… One School Day at a Time!”
