Families looking for a week of patriotic fun won’t have to travel far. Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in Cochran has released its schedule of activities for Fourth of July Week, featuring daily games, crafts, inflatables, competitions and, of course, visits from Yogi Bear.
Activities begin Monday, June 29, and continue through Sunday, July 5, with inflatables open daily at 9 a.m. Guests can enjoy everything from ceramics, gem mining, giant tower games and scavenger hunts to patriotic crafts, lawn games and candy bar bingo throughout the week.
The celebration reaches its peak on Saturday, July 4, with a full day of Independence Day festivities, including fireworks handprint art, tie-dye activities, a Gaga Ball tournament, a foam party behind the inflatables, a visit from Hey Hey Bear, a fireworks sack race, glow ring toss, poolside popsicles and the campground’s “Biggest Firework Game.”
The fun continues Sunday with second-chance crafts, tie-dye, horseshoe and cornhole open play, and sidewalk chalk activities.
The campground’s general store is open Monday through Thursday from 2 to 6 p.m., Friday from 2 to 8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The pool is open daily from 9 a.m. until dusk.
