From Staff Reports
Cincinnati Bengals offensive tackle and Cochran native Amarius Mims is once again giving back to his hometown by hosting a Back to School Bash for local students and families.
The event will be held Saturday, July 18, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Bleckley County High School Gym, located at 1 Royal Drive in Cochran.
The free community event will feature backpacks, school supplies, food and more, helping students prepare for the upcoming school year while bringing families together for an afternoon of fun and fellowship.
A graduate of Bleckley County High School, Mims has continued to invest in the community that helped shape him. After an outstanding high school career, he played at the University of Georgia before being selected in the 2024 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Back to School Bash has become another way for Mims to encourage local youth while helping ease the financial burden many families face as the school year approaches.
