A local florist recently received a once-in-a-lifetime honor when a wreath he designed was selected for placement at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery.
The patriotic wreath, created in Cochran, made its way to Washington, D.C., where it was displayed at Arlington Memorial Amphitheater before being placed at one of the nation’s most revered memorials.
The Ledger will sit down with Charles next week to learn how the opportunity came about, what the honor means to him, and the story behind the wreath that traveled from a small Georgia community to a place of national remembrance.
