The Pilot Club of Cochran is inviting families, children and community groups to celebrate Independence Day in patriotic style during the upcoming July 4 Bicycle Parade in downtown Cochran.
The free event will take place Friday, July 4 at 5 p.m. Participants are encouraged to decorate their bicycles, scooters or ride-on toys in red, white and blue and gather in front of the Bleckley County Courthouse for registration before the parade begins.
According to promotional information for the event, prizes will be awarded in several categories including:
- Most Patriotic
- Most Creative
- Funniest
- Best Group/Family
- Judge’s Favorite
The event is open to children, families, clubs and community groups. Helmets are strongly encouraged for all riders.
The Pilot Club of Cochran hopes the parade will provide a fun, family-friendly way for the community to come together and celebrate the Fourth of July.
