Royal pride was on full display Saturday night as the Bleckley County Royals Touchdown Club hosted its annual Reverse Raffle and Silent Auction fundraiser at Bleckley County High School.

According to Head Coach Von Lassiter, the event sold out and drew a crowd of a little more than 200 people, making it the club’s biggest fundraiser.

Supporters gathered for an evening of fellowship, entertainment, steak dinners, raffle drawings and silent auction bidding — all in support of the Royals football program.

“This is our biggest fundraiser,” Lassiter said.

Throughout the evening, Jack Fernandez provided entertainment, singing and playing guitar between raffle rounds while attendees visited and enjoyed the event.

Lassiter expressed his appreciation to the community for continuing to support the Royals both financially and through attendance at games and events.

“We appreciate all the financial support from area businesses and individuals and the continual fan support,” he said.

The fundraiser featured a wide variety of giveaway items and auction prizes as community members came together to support Bleckley County athletics and the future of Royals football.
