The Bleckley County Library is preparing for a summer full of reading, learning and family-friendly fun with its 2026 summer programming schedule themed “Unearth A Story.”
Programs are planned throughout June and July and include live performances, animals, science-themed activities and storytime events designed to encourage children and families to stay engaged in reading during the summer months.
June events include:
- June 3 — Mid GA Gem and Mineral Society at 11 a.m.
- June 8 — Reading PAWS Storytime at 11 a.m.
- June 10 — Magician Chad Crews at 3:30 p.m.
- June 17 — Untamed Zoo at 10:30 a.m.
- June 19 — Library closed
- June 22 — Nature Jodi at 2 p.m.
- June 25 — Marc Griffiths, ventriloquist, at 2 p.m.
July events include:
- July 1 — Quite a Catch Juggling Show at 4:30 p.m.
- July 3 — Library closed
- July 8 — Story Ship Diggery’s Dino Adventure at 10 a.m.
- July 16 — Meteors & Microscopes at 3 p.m.
Library officials encourage families to participate in the summer reading activities and enjoy the variety of educational and interactive programs being offered throughout the season.
