From Heartland EMS
Heartland EMS announced the launch of a new weekly Employee Spotlight campaign on April 17, designed to help the public get to know the people who serve their communities each day.
Each week, the organization plans to highlight a randomly selected employee, giving residents a chance to meet staff members they may or may not already know.
The first featured employee is Lacey Otto, an EMT with six years of experience in emergency medical services and nearly three years with Heartland EMS.
Otto said one of the things she enjoys most about EMS is that no two days are ever the same. She also values the opportunity to meet people, help others, and make a difference in the community where she grew up.
“I enjoy working EMS because no two days are ever the same and I get to constantly meet and help people and make a difference in the community I grew up in with the people that made me who I am,” Otto said.
Outside of work, Otto said she enjoys spending as much time as possible with her children, whom she affectionately calls her “mini besties.”
Heartland EMS serves communities including Cochran, Hawkinsville, and Dublin.
