From Staff Reports

First responders and public safety personnel were recognized Sunday during Hometown Heroes Sunday at Limestone Baptist Church in Cochran.

The special service honored those who serve the community each day, including EMS and paramedics, members of the Bleckley County Sheriff’s Office, Cochran Police Department, firefighters, and jail officers.

Guests were welcomed for a morning of appreciation, fellowship and gratitude for the men and women who often answer calls during some of life’s most urgent moments.

The program included recognition of those in attendance, prayer, and a message of encouragement.

Hometown Heroes Sunday served as a reminder of the dedication shown daily by those who work to protect, assist and serve residents across Cochran and Bleckley County.
