Cochran’s Downtown Development Authority is inviting the community to come out for a full day of family-friendly fun this Saturday during Downtown Family Fun Day.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 25, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the downtown area, with activities centered along Second Street.

According to information shared by the DDA on social media Thursday night, the event will feature a variety of carnival-style attractions, including food stalls and food trucks, bounce houses and slides, games, face painting, and a fire safety house hosted by the Cochran Fire Department. Public Works will also be on hand with a Touch-a-Truck experience.

In addition to activities, many local businesses will be open throughout the event. Participating locations include Frostbite Ice Cream & Subs, Oxley Performance Computers, Snow’s Asian Grill, Needle N/A Haystack, Uniqueness Now, Rozier Auto Parts, Dykes’ Pharmacy (open until noon), Tenth House Consignment, Riot + Reign, Treasures on Second, Lickity Split Sweet Stop, Southern Roots Nutrition, Abby’s, and The Mule Barn.

The day will also include performances by Tippie Toes Dance Studio, a community scavenger hunt, and recognition of Bleckley County Primary School and Elementary School art contest winners.
