Bleckley County residents are encouraged to take note of several important dates ahead of the upcoming General Primary/Nonpartisan Election scheduled for May 19, 2026.

The deadline to register to vote or update voter registration information is April 20. Those who wish to participate in the May election must be registered by that date.

Early in-person voting will begin April 27 and will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays. In addition, Saturday voting will be available on May 2 and May 9 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The final day for early voting is May 15.

Election Day will take place Tuesday, May 19, with polls open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Absentee ballots submitted by mail must be received by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day in order to be counted.

Voters may request an absentee ballot now, with the deadline to apply set for May 8.

Sample ballots are currently available for review at the Bleckley County Board of Elections and Registration Office. Voters can also access sample ballots online through the Georgia Secretary of State’s My Voter Page.
