The Bleckley County Varsity Royals wasted no time making a statement Tuesday night, erupting for 20 runs in a decisive 20-1 win over Central at home.
The Royals set the tone early, plating 12 runs in the bottom of the first inning and following it up with eight more in the second, putting the game well out of reach before Central could respond.
Bleckley County’s offense was firing on all cylinders, tallying 13 hits and drawing 12 walks in a dominant showing at the plate.
Leading the charge was W. Boatright, who turned in a perfect night, going 3-for-3 with three runs scored and three RBIs. N. Woodard added two hits and two RBIs, while C. Elliot chipped in with two hits and drove in three runs. Contributions came from throughout the lineup as the Royals kept pressure on Central’s defense all game long.
On the mound, Bleckley County delivered a strong performance to match its offensive output. J. Holloway earned the win, allowing just two hits and one unearned run over two innings while striking out five. L. Sapp closed things out with a scoreless inning in relief.
Central managed just two hits and one run in the contest and struggled to contain the Royals’ explosive start, surrendering 20 runs over two innings.
With the win, Bleckley County showcased both offensive depth and pitching strength in one of its most complete performances of the season.
