A night of classic country music and family-friendly fun is coming to Chester as the Chester Lions Club presents the “Battle of the Guitars” on Saturday, May 2.

The event will feature performances by The Rocky Creek Band and The Double Barrel Band, with music beginning at 6 p.m. at the Chester School Auditorium. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

Admission is $5, which also gives attendees a chance to win one of more than 50 door prizes. Food will be available, with $2 options including hamburgers, sausage dogs, and barbecue sandwiches.

Organizers invite the community to come out and enjoy an evening of live music, good food, and fellowship.

  1. While the Rocky Creek Band is pretty much all classic country, Cochran’s Double Barrel Band is geared more towards 70s classic rock & southern rock with some high octane Elvis tunes mixed in. Both bands offer different types of music, but compliment each other well.
