More than 100 families from across nine states are visiting Jellystone Park™ Cochran this week, bringing not only energy and excitement to the campground, but also a noticeable boost to the local community.
With Easter and Spring Break in full swing, the park is hosting guests who have traveled from across the region to experience a week filled with family-friendly activities, outdoor fun, and visits from familiar faces like Yogi Bear™, Boo Boo™, and Cindy Bear™.
Throughout the week and weekend, families are taking part in a full schedule of activities, including Hey Hey Hey Wagon Rides, tie-dye sessions, gem mining, Easter egg hunts, and a variety of events designed to create lasting memories.
“It’s a busy and exciting time,” said Brett Patterson, regional manager with Kaliber Management. “We’re seeing families come in from multiple states, and it’s great not only for the park, but for Cochran as well.”
The influx of visitors is expected to benefit local businesses, as families explore restaurants, shops, and services throughout the area during their stay.
In addition to its scheduled activities, Jellystone Park offers a wide range of amenities, including a swimming pool, catch-and-release fishing pond, inflatables, campfires, and a craft and activity center—giving families plenty to do without ever leaving the property.
The park, formerly known as Hillside Family Campground, was purchased just over two years ago and has since undergone ongoing renovations and expansion. Owners have worked to transform the property into a destination campground, attracting guests from across Georgia and beyond.
Plans for the future include continued growth, with additional accommodations, amenities, and new experiences aimed at enhancing guest stays.
Jellystone Park Cochran offers a variety of lodging options to suit different needs and budgets, including cabin rentals, tent camping, and full hook-up RV sites, making it accessible to a wide range of visitors.
As families gather this week to celebrate the season, the park continues to establish itself as both a destination for fun and a contributor to the local economy.
