The Bleckley County Lady Royals soccer team continued their strong season with two shutout victories, defeating Dodge County and East Laurens in recent action.
Against Dodge County on March 24, the Lady Royals secured a 4-0 win behind a standout offensive performance from Braylee Cobb, who scored two goals. Cobb’s first goal was assisted by Bri Harrell, while her second came off an assist from Jana Tomlin. Harrell added a goal of her own to round out the scoring. Cobb had one more goal and it was assisted by Elyce Potts.
Goalkeeper Jana Tomlin led the defensive effort with 10 saves, helping preserve the shutout.
The Lady Royals earned a 3-0 victory over East Laurens on March 26. Cobb again led the offense with two goals, assisted by Anniston Howell and McKenzie Perkins. Tomlin also added a goal in the match.
Tomlin recorded four saves in goal to secure another shutout for Bleckley County.
The Lady Royals currently hold a 10-2 overall record and are 4-1 in region play. They sit in second place in the region behind ACE.
