The Bleckley County Royals put together a dominant performance on the road Tuesday, defeating Northeast 16-4 in a five-inning contest.
Bleckley County jumped out early, scoring three runs in the first inning and adding two more in the second to take control. After Northeast answered with four runs in the third, the Royals quickly shut the door, scoring four runs in the fourth and erupting for seven runs in the fifth to secure the win.
The Royals’ offense was firing on all cylinders, collecting 12 hits and drawing 12 walks in the game. J Johnson led the way with a strong performance at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs. G Cole added three hits and two RBIs, while B Fleming and L Sapp each contributed multiple hits.
C Finch also had a standout game, recording two hits and scoring twice, while N Woodard reached base multiple times and crossed the plate three times.
On the mound, W Boatright delivered a complete-game effort, striking out 10 batters over five innings while allowing just four hits and no earned runs.
Bleckley County’s aggressive baserunning also played a key role, with multiple stolen bases helping to keep pressure on Northeast throughout the game.
With the win, the Royals showcased both offensive firepower and strong pitching in a well-rounded performance.
